Back Lands
I walk down the mountain
Through the creek bed
Up to the back land
Where grazing cows are fed
To the back lands
To the back land
There I will go
God has give us plenty
Plenty bestowed
We’ll trust in God
A stand of oak
and hickory near
Were we took of the wood
For the fire this year
We’ll trust in God
To the back lands
To the back land
There I will go
God has gave us plenty
Plenty bestowed
We’ll trust in God
Blackberry… wild plum
That I did can
To help us get through
When winter begin
We’ll trust in God
To the back lands
To the back land
There I will go
God has gave us plenty
Plenty bestowed
We’ll trust in God
I took of the cedar
For the bed where I laid
And of its branch
The lamp that I made
We’ll trust in God
To say are poor
That we are not
Our needs are met
Back lands we got
We’ll trust in God
To the back lands
To the back land
There I will go
God has gave us plenty
Plenty bestowed
We’ll trust in God
I walk down the mountain
Through the creek bed
Up to the back land
Where grazing cows are fed
We’ll trust in God
To the back lands
To the back land
There I will go
God has give us plenty
Plenty bestowed
We’ll trust in God
God has gave us plenty
Plenty bestowed..
We’ll trust in God
